About us

UNHUMANWORLD is a menswear brand rooted in Indian craft.

We started with a discovery. Bandhani — one of India’s oldest crafts, over 5,000 years old — was not always what it is today. Historically, men wore it too. Turbans tied in Bandhani patterns. Different communities, different patterns. A craft that belonged to everyone.

Somewhere along the way, the men’s side of the craft quietly disappeared.

We are bringing it back.

We work directly with a father and his daughter in Kutch, Gujarat — a family whose craft spans generations. One shirt takes one week of their hands. Thousands of individual knots tied by a person who learned from their parent who learned from theirs.

We design shirts you wear on a random  Tuesday. Contemporary silhouettes. Indian craft. Made for the space between where you come from and where you live.

This is not slow fashion as a trend. This is slow fashion as the only honest alternative to a world that forgot what clothing is for.

Collection Soil — our first collection — is named for the desert earth of Kutch. The colours. The dots. The geography that made the craft.

We are just getting started.
